It ain't easy being cheesy.

I first would like to apologize to my followers [and fans! hehe] for the super long delay. I've been incredibly lazy to blog, but I have some time right now to do it, so here I am. Nothing new really. My brand new, not-even-a-month-old-bong was broken when I was away one weekend...sucks. Boooo bong breakers! On a brighter note, I got to go home for Thanksgiving and that was really awesome! I've been semi-worried about finals, but honestly I just want winter break to come; I have a few things I'm looking forward to. Oh! We ventured out to Magic Mountain...that was fun!

Now, on to the greeeeens! I got a hold of some Cheese kush a few weeks back. This strain was different, unique, and really fucking tasty! Keon picked up some good-looking, tasting, and extremely sticky [icky!] white widow a couple weeks ago and Becks & Leo picked up an interesting hybrid: Purple HazexNY Sour Diesel [it had a great smell and an even better taste]! Now, lets talk Cheeeeeese!

The second I heard that my guy had Cheese kush, I knew I had to buy some. Even if it wasn't a whole 8th, I just had to have some. I've never heard of it before and I was immediately intrigued. And besides, I love cheese! haha. Cheese, the name says it all, it literally has that cheese stench; not so much smell. But there was something about its aroma that I just knew why they named it cheese kush. I just wanted to eat it all up. The smell was incredibly interesting, like no other strain I've ever smelled before.

The taste is kind of like a fusion of fresh cheese and Marijuana, thus very pleasant. The smoke was very smooth, not hard at all, allowing me to take massive hits! Defintiely smooth and delightful. Cheese is a light green color with compacted buds, its not brittle at all. Slightly sticky and definitely left crystals and hairs all over my fingers. This strain is very fun. hahaha. The high creeps up on you through your face down to your neck area. This is an indica and it feels amazing! Cheese made me non-stop laugh at times and it definitely made my day everyday for the entire 2 weeks I had it; no complaints here :]. Definitely brings up your appetite almost instantly...mad munchies! There wasn't really a burn out and its pretty potent. I liked the fact that it burned pretty slow. It allowed me to smoke less, getting me equally high and conserving my pot all at the same time! Fuck yessss!!

Strindu?!?

Don't let the title fool you. No. I didn't get some fancy strain called Strindu. I wish [if that even existed]. I got my hands on Strawberry cough and hindu kush this time around. Yummm! I got strindu by morphing the two strain names together. Clever, eh? lol

So, this post is a little different then the rest. As of November 4th, 2008 at 8:01pm, we have a new president of the U.S. He actually goes by the name of Barack Obama. I'd like to take this time to shout out ma boy! Word. lmao. History in the making! AND I purchased my 1st bong!! I was ecstatic! What a great Veteran's day, I'm glad I put it to good use! It's quite beautiful and I truly believe it suits me well. I must name it! Any ideas??

Anywho, I got a hold of some Strawberry Cough and if you ever saw Children of Men, you were as excited to have some as Keon and I were! This strain is sweeeet....literally! I'll be honest. The first time I had strawberry cough I wasn't too convinced for the mere fact that I felt a crash after smoking it. And I really hate that! Strawberry cough put me to bed, but only when I was lounging around! I learned that to fully enjoy the cough, you must be active! I was talking to some of my other friends that got it too and they got no crash, so I figured it must be me. lol.

The strain looks pretty. Nice, crystalized and with orange hairs all over! If you squint, you can almost see a little redish-pink [like a strawberry]. I wouldn't say it was dense. The 8th looked like an 8th [and it was! Wooo!]. As for taste...yum! Strawberry cough taste really gooooood! Like strawberries or berries in general. It has like a creamy berry taste as you're exhaling the smoke. It's almost like Strawberry Cough tickles my lungs with her creamy-sweet smoke, whose flavor resembles strawberry, berries or kiwi!! Mmmm!

The high was good and last a few hours. Very heavy in the h
ead...it's a Sativa! Like I said, at first it made me crash! But once I got used to it, no more crash!! If you're active with it, you'll be good. It's almost like you balance it out...the effects with your doings...it works out. The smell is sweet. I'd say a mixture of earth and fruit. lol. Strawberry cough has a high potency for being a sativa...yeah, it fucks you up. The only real complaint I had as well as my trustee colleague Keon, was that it burns rather fast, unfortunately.

And now for the hindu. Story with this strain: I wasn't even supposed to buy any more pot. I had enough to last me for a week or so, but the second I heard my boy had hindu kush, the purchase was made. I spoil myself too much.

Hindu kush just sounds amazing, doesn't it? All exotic and what not. lol. I absolutely love the way hindu kush looks. It's all fluffy and greeeeen! The greenest of greens! I love just holding it in my hand or just looking at it...it makes my heart warm. It's
sticky-icky [lmao] and I love buds that leave my fingers with some sort of residue. It smells wonderful! Earthy, earthy, earthy! It also has that straight up kush smell. Like if someone were to open up a container of hindu kush in the same room as you, you'd know. The taste is earthy and spicy, and the smoke feels almost like hash. The kush taste is highly present as well and it gives the hindu a kick in your pipe.

The high you get is a powerful body buzz that starts in your head [brain!] and moves down, making your whole body tingle. In others words, by the time you realize it...you're stoned! And I absolutely love that surprise attack it brings! BAM! The high tends to last for hours; about a good chunk of your day/night. Potency is high, no pun intended. hehe.

Bubba kush and Purple Trainwreck

This week has been weird and pretty sucky. I've had midterms the entire week and I'm pretty much drained. I cannot wait until tomorrow when I finish and turn in my last midterm...it's going to be incredible. Luckily, I have some pretty good connects in Riverside and I got my hands on two different kinds of strains this week. The first is my ultimate all-time favorite strain, bubba kush! And the other is a hybrid with the interesting name of purple trainwreck.

I'll start with the bubba.

Bubba is one of my favorite strains of all. It really gets the job done, every time. I can't remember a time when bubba didn't fuck me up...actually I don't even think it's possible for it not to fuck you up. The bubba has a great green color to it. It's extremely appealing to the eye...with crystals all over! I'll call it eye candy! :p It's nice and sticky, easy to manage and break apart, and it burns at a rather slow pace. I like that because bowls tend to last longer, hence allowing you to conserve weed by smoking less in a given time [yesss!]. The smell seems to change throughout with hints of coffee and berries and what I we all know as the "kush" smell, which is absolutely delightful.

The taste of bubba never fails you. Even if you don't know you're smoking bubba, the second you taste it, you know. lol. Its initial taste has a kick to it; it's sweet and refreshing. Bubba is one of the few weeds that gives me a great aftertaste...it taste like berries when you exhale!

Now, the high for bubba is AMAZING! An indica no doubt. Bubba numbs your body completely. A great strain for those who aren't looking to be too productive in the day. Totally gives you the ability to completely knock out if you wanted. I get mad munchies from bubba...every time. The high sticks around for a few hours and you just seem to be stuck; mentally and physically! You don't have to smoke much to get bubba's effects and the effects tend to take over almost immediately after consumption. The bubba is pretty potent.

And Now we've got purple trainwreck.

I've actually come across trainwreck a lot lately. And I was reading in High Times that there's this crazy hybrid of trainwreck and AK-47 going around, so if anyone gets there hands on that, please let me know. Anywho, purple trainwreck is obviously a hybrid. Trainwreck is a good strain and gives a good head high.

It doesn't look as purple as you think, sometimes the name just makes it sound fancy. It looks very dark green and it's hairs are of a dark color, but not enough to be classified as purple. Crystalization is present in big amounts. The strain is pretty sticky.

It smells great! It has a fresh frutiy and citrusy smell to it. Almost like juicy fruity, but not so juicy and more fruity [lmao]. The smell lingers after the strain is smoked, but it's not overwhelming in any way. It's actually pretty subtle. I like the way the strain taste as you're releasing the smoke. It makes your mouth water! lol

This strain is a sativa. The head high is good, not too much but just right. Trainwreck fucks you up. The only negative thing about this strain is that it will definitely make you crash. It's all in its name.

Snow Cap

This time around, I got my hands on a quite magnificent strain by the name of Snow Cap. The name itself intrigued me immediately and I knew I just had to try it out. This strain is extremely crystallized with a massive amount of orange hairs on it. I know the name is deceiving a little bit because I totally expected the strain to be white in color [because of the "snow" in the name], but Snow Cap is actually a very dark green color. Snow cap isn't dense and comes apart pretty easily. I'd say it'd be a good strain to roll up some mad doobies or phat bleezes with, for sure. It's not one of the stickiest strains I've come across though. And it has a pretty crazy smell to it...almost cinnamony. haha.

Greens on Snow Cap is delicious. The smoke is smooth and taste fabulous. The taste is almost nutmeggie; I like it. :]

SATIVA! Snow cap is a sativa! It definitely makes your mind race and gives you an upbeat feel. The high is definitely extremly active. So much so, I was moving funiture! I strongly recommend for you to smoke this strain during the day...it's incredible and will keep you on the move! The high sticks around long enough to where you don't have to smoke as much throughout the day. I didn't get a burn out! and I was extremly happy about that. This strain burns a little fast, unfortunately.

If you ever get a chance to pick up some Snow Cap...do it! Snow Cap is definitely one of my favorite sativas, so far. And Milo liked it too :]

Afghooey

So, this is my first official review [and my first blog!] on one of the many strains that I have been privileged to enjoy. Before I get into to the sticky details, just want to share some back story to my inspiration for this blog and the purpose of it.

Basically, after being in a daze with Leo [haha], we came across a blog called "My nugs". I was looking through it and this guy has blogs about crazy kinds of herbal remedies, how they make him feel, what they taste like, etc. I quickly thought to myself, that this idea has some potential. I love to induce myself in Mary Jane and why not bring some educational value into it, right? Review buds for my friends is what I decided to do! To become a cannabis connoisseur is my dream [lol]...and hopefully this will have me be well on my way! Here we go!

My first reviewed strain is Afghooey!

Afghooey is a cross of afghanistan kush and goo. Personally, I've never gotten my hands on afghan, but I have had a taste of it [yum!]. I've never heard of goo until recently. The color is very green...almost a bright green-ish. Crystalization happens in great amounts for this strain. The taste isn't overpowering but it is definitely earthy and green [that's how I know what green taste like! lol]. I like it. It's pretty dense in weight and burns at an average speed [not too fast, not too slow...I'd say just right]. The smell is earthy, but definitely with a hint of sweet to it.

Afghooey is definitely an indica. Gives you a mad crazy body high. I personally enjoy sativas a little bit better, but this strain gave me a magnificent body high; one of the best I've ever gotten from an indica. It'd say it's pretty potent. Munchies don't hit too hard, but you definitely just want to chill if you consume this strain. It has a strong afghan kush body high, but the goo gives it a heavier feel. There's little to no burn out, which is a plus for me because I totally hate when buds put me to bed. You won't need to consume very much of the afghooey to get you where you need to be. It does the job very quickly and extremely effectively.
