Bubba kush and Purple Trainwreck

This week has been weird and pretty sucky. I've had midterms the entire week and I'm pretty much drained. I cannot wait until tomorrow when I finish and turn in my last midterm...it's going to be incredible. Luckily, I have some pretty good connects in Riverside and I got my hands on two different kinds of strains this week. The first is my ultimate all-time favorite strain, bubba kush! And the other is a hybrid with the interesting name of purple trainwreck.

I'll start with the bubba.

Bubba is one of my favorite strains of all. It really gets the job done, every time. I can't remember a time when bubba didn't fuck me up...actually I don't even think it's possible for it not to fuck you up. The bubba has a great green color to it. It's extremely appealing to the eye...with crystals all over! I'll call it eye candy! :p It's nice and sticky, easy to manage and break apart, and it burns at a rather slow pace. I like that because bowls tend to last longer, hence allowing you to conserve weed by smoking less in a given time [yesss!]. The smell seems to change throughout with hints of coffee and berries and what I we all know as the "kush" smell, which is absolutely delightful.

The taste of bubba never fails you. Even if you don't know you're smoking bubba, the second you taste it, you know. lol. Its initial taste has a kick to it; it's sweet and refreshing. Bubba is one of the few weeds that gives me a great aftertaste...it taste like berries when you exhale!

Now, the high for bubba is AMAZING! An indica no doubt. Bubba numbs your body completely. A great strain for those who aren't looking to be too productive in the day. Totally gives you the ability to completely knock out if you wanted. I get mad munchies from bubba...every time. The high sticks around for a few hours and you just seem to be stuck; mentally and physically! You don't have to smoke much to get bubba's effects and the effects tend to take over almost immediately after consumption. The bubba is pretty potent.

And Now we've got purple trainwreck.

I've actually come across trainwreck a lot lately. And I was reading in High Times that there's this crazy hybrid of trainwreck and AK-47 going around, so if anyone gets there hands on that, please let me know. Anywho, purple trainwreck is obviously a hybrid. Trainwreck is a good strain and gives a good head high.

It doesn't look as purple as you think, sometimes the name just makes it sound fancy. It looks very dark green and it's hairs are of a dark color, but not enough to be classified as purple. Crystalization is present in big amounts. The strain is pretty sticky.

It smells great! It has a fresh frutiy and citrusy smell to it. Almost like juicy fruity, but not so juicy and more fruity [lmao]. The smell lingers after the strain is smoked, but it's not overwhelming in any way. It's actually pretty subtle. I like the way the strain taste as you're releasing the smoke. It makes your mouth water! lol

This strain is a sativa. The head high is good, not too much but just right. Trainwreck fucks you up. The only negative thing about this strain is that it will definitely make you crash. It's all in its name.

Snow Cap

This time around, I got my hands on a quite magnificent strain by the name of Snow Cap. The name itself intrigued me immediately and I knew I just had to try it out. This strain is extremely crystallized with a massive amount of orange hairs on it. I know the name is deceiving a little bit because I totally expected the strain to be white in color [because of the "snow" in the name], but Snow Cap is actually a very dark green color. Snow cap isn't dense and comes apart pretty easily. I'd say it'd be a good strain to roll up some mad doobies or phat bleezes with, for sure. It's not one of the stickiest strains I've come across though. And it has a pretty crazy smell to it...almost cinnamony. haha.

Greens on Snow Cap is delicious. The smoke is smooth and taste fabulous. The taste is almost nutmeggie; I like it. :]

SATIVA! Snow cap is a sativa! It definitely makes your mind race and gives you an upbeat feel. The high is definitely extremly active. So much so, I was moving funiture! I strongly recommend for you to smoke this strain during the day...it's incredible and will keep you on the move! The high sticks around long enough to where you don't have to smoke as much throughout the day. I didn't get a burn out! and I was extremly happy about that. This strain burns a little fast, unfortunately.

If you ever get a chance to pick up some Snow Cap...do it! Snow Cap is definitely one of my favorite sativas, so far. And Milo liked it too :]

Afghooey

So, this is my first official review [and my first blog!] on one of the many strains that I have been privileged to enjoy. Before I get into to the sticky details, just want to share some back story to my inspiration for this blog and the purpose of it.

Basically, after being in a daze with Leo [haha], we came across a blog called "My nugs". I was looking through it and this guy has blogs about crazy kinds of herbal remedies, how they make him feel, what they taste like, etc. I quickly thought to myself, that this idea has some potential. I love to induce myself in Mary Jane and why not bring some educational value into it, right? Review buds for my friends is what I decided to do! To become a cannabis connoisseur is my dream [lol]...and hopefully this will have me be well on my way! Here we go!

My first reviewed strain is Afghooey!

Afghooey is a cross of afghanistan kush and goo. Personally, I've never gotten my hands on afghan, but I have had a taste of it [yum!]. I've never heard of goo until recently. The color is very green...almost a bright green-ish. Crystalization happens in great amounts for this strain. The taste isn't overpowering but it is definitely earthy and green [that's how I know what green taste like! lol]. I like it. It's pretty dense in weight and burns at an average speed [not too fast, not too slow...I'd say just right]. The smell is earthy, but definitely with a hint of sweet to it.

Afghooey is definitely an indica. Gives you a mad crazy body high. I personally enjoy sativas a little bit better, but this strain gave me a magnificent body high; one of the best I've ever gotten from an indica. It'd say it's pretty potent. Munchies don't hit too hard, but you definitely just want to chill if you consume this strain. It has a strong afghan kush body high, but the goo gives it a heavier feel. There's little to no burn out, which is a plus for me because I totally hate when buds put me to bed. You won't need to consume very much of the afghooey to get you where you need to be. It does the job very quickly and extremely effectively.
